A magnitude 4.5 earthquake shook Surigao del Norte on Saturday morning.
The Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology (Phivolcs) said the quake struck at 9:24 a.m., with its epicenter located 3 kms southwest of Burgos.
It had a depth of 15 kms and is tectonic in origin.
Phivolcs said the quake is not expected to cause damage or trigger aftershocks.
