Davao City gov't shells out P11-M for 'Nina' victims

MANILA - Davao City is helping areas affected by Typhoon Nina with P11 million worth of assistance.

According to a post on the city's official Facebook page, the Davao City Council approved extending the assistance to the provinces of Camarines Sur, Albay and Catanduanes, and Calapan City in Mindoro.

Davao City will also send around 20,000 food packs to the areas affected by Nina, the post added.

The assistance will come from five percent of Davao City LGU's Calamity Fund.
