MANILA - The Philippine National Police (PNP) on Friday released sketches of two men allegedly involved in the killing of AKO Bicol Party-list Rep. Rodel Batocabe last week.

One of the suspects is about 30, of medium build and has fair complexion, details on the sketch showed.

The alleged driver of the getaway motorcycle is about 40, has dark complexion and a scar on his right cheek, police said.

The two men were last seen in the covered court of Barangay Burgos in Daraga, Albay between 2:30 p.m. and 3 p.m., the same day Batocabe was gunned down while walking towards his car after an event.

Batocabe's security escort was also killed, while 7 senior citizens who participated in the gift-giving program spearheaded by the slain lawmaker were injured in the incident.

President Rodrigo Duterte and Batocabe's colleagues in Congress condemned his killing and released a P50-million reward for those who would provide information that would lead to the arrest of the Bicolano politician's killers.

Police officials earlier said Batocabe's killing may be politically motivated as the party-list lawmaker was running for Daraga town mayor in the 2019 midterm polls.
