MANILA— Vice President Leni Robredo on Tuesday called on Filipinos to help the needy and the victims of recent calamities as the country celebrates Christmas.
(While we celebrate, let us continue to remember, guide and embrace those who were orphaned, our needy siblings, those who hunger, who need shelter, and those who suffered from recent mishaps. This is the greatest gift we can give to others and to our country.)
Robredo said Filipinos should hold on to hope despite the problems they are currently facing.
(Let us believe that whatever trials we face, the light of truth and love will prevail.)
Last Friday, Robredo visited various fisherfolk associations in Albay to deliver aid after tropical storm Tisoy affected their livelihood.
