PUERTO PRINCESA CITY — Several families will be homeless during the holidays as a fire razed at least 10 houses in Barangay Maningning on Christmas eve Saturday.
The blaze started in the boarding house of a certain Angelic Dela Torre at 10:41 p.m., local officials said.
No one was at home when the fire happened, except for a 25-year-old border named Randy Adulacion, Dela Torre said. Adulacion's condition could not be determined at the time this story was posted.
Firefighters had a hard time containing the blaze because they had to drive through narrow streets to get to the location.
Authorities haven't establish the cause of the fire and the cost of damage as of posting time.
