A total of P75,000 worth of illegal drugs were seized from three suspected drug pushers in Quezon City, Thursday afternoon.
Mark John Zafra and his comrades Mark Anthony Zafra and Ariel Agustin were nabbed in an entrapment operation by the QC Police District Drug Enforcement Unit.
“Based doon sa ating intelligence buildup, ang grupo ni Mark Zafra and his members engaged in drug selling activities operating in Bgy. Payatas, QC. Actually one of our subjects, inabutan ito noong huminto ang operation ng PNP sa illegal drugs,” said Chief Insp. Ferdinand Mendoza, chief of the QCPD-Drug Enforcement Unit.
Authorities recovered 15 grams of shabu worth P75,000 packed in sachets and live ammunition.
“Nakakuha rin tayo ng isang barrel ng 45 and also live ammo. Technically this is considered as a firearm. We will also be filing a case against the subject of search warrant for violation nitong illegal possession of firearms,” QCPD Director Chief Supt. Guillermo Eleazar said.
Authorities believe the suspects are the suppliers of illegal drugs in their barangay and nearby communities.
“Totally lumabas talaga sila dahil alam nilang kayang kaya nilang gumalaw at kumilos doon sa pagbebenta ng illegal drugs dahil ang mga pulis tumigil nga ayon doon sa direktiba,” Mendoza said.
