Phivolcs also recorded a 4.3-magnitude earthquake Friday evening in Kiblawan, Davao del Sur.

The tectonic tremor struck at 11:45 p.m. at about 6 kilometers west of Kiblawan with a depth of 13 kilometers.

Phivolcs reported no intensities but instrumental intensities were recorded:

Phivolcs also recorded a 4.1-magnitude earthquake that struck off Mindanao island Friday evening.

Philvolcs supervising research science specialist Jeff Perez said that the Tangbulan fault, stretches 62 kilometers from Davao del Sur to Davao Occidental, could generate powerful earthquakes up to magnitude 7.2.

He advised residents of Mindanao that they should not be complacent, and continue to be prepared after four strong earthquakes from October caused major damage in Davao del Sur and Cotabato provinces.
