LIST: Areas at risk of heavy rainfall due to 'Vinta'

MANILA - The Department of the Interior and Local Government (DILG) on Thursday released a list of areas at risk of moderate to heavy rainfall due to Tropical Storm "Vinta".

The DILG Central Office Disaster Information Coordinating Center (DILG-CODIX) said the following areas may experience moderate to heavy and at times intense rainfall and winds of up to 65 kph within a 100-km radius of the forecast track.

Alert level Charlie:

- Agusan del Norte
- Agusan del Sur
- Bohol
- Bukidnon
- Camiguin
- Cebu
- Compostela Valley
- Davao del Norte
- Davao Oriental
- Lanao del Norte
- Lanao del Sur
- Misamis Occidental
- Misamis Oriental
- Negros Occidental
- Negros Oriental
- Palawan
- Siquijor
- Surigao del Norte
- Surigao del Sur
- Tawi-Tawi
- Zamboanga del Norte
- Zamboanga del Sur
- Zamboanga Sibugay

The following areas, meanwhile, may experience moderate to occasionally heavy rainfall and winds of up to 55 kph within a 150-km radius of the forecast track.

Alert level Bravo:

- Davao del Sur
- Dinagat Islands
- North Cotabato
- Shariff Kabunsuan
- Southern Leyte

These areas may experience light to moderate with occasionally heavy rainfall and winds of up to 45 kph within a 200-km radius of the forecast track, according to DILG-CODIX.

Alert level Alpha:

- Antique
- Basilan
- Guimaras
- Leyte
- Maguindanao

As of 5 p.m., at least 10 areas in Mindanao have been placed under storm signal no. 2 after "Vinta" slightly intensified, state weather bureau PAGASA said.

It is expected to exit the Philippine area of responsibility on Christmas Day.
