MANILA - More roll on-roll off ports will be constructed across the Philippine archipelago in 2018, the Philippine Ports Authority (PPA) said Wednesday.
PPA General Manager Jay Santiago said the project will cost the government at least P7 billion, which will be sourced from internally-generated funds.
He said the PPA is also eyeing better waiting areas for port passengers, especially during holidays when many Filipinos travel to their provinces or visit local tourist spots.
Better ports, Santiago added, will give Filipinos more options when travelling around the country.
