MISAMIS ORIENTAL - Former Lugait, Misamis Oriental mayor Wellie Lim has denied allegations that he is involved in the illegal drug trade.

In a recent speech, President Rodrigo Duterte tagged a certain "Willy Lim" as a drug coddler.

Lim said the allegations were unfair and that there is no evidence against him.

He also lamented that his family's reputation has been affected.

Lim is one of the "narco-politicians" named by Duterte in a speech Monday. Aside from him, the President also tagged former Iligan City officials Rep. Vicente Belmonte and Mayor Lawrence Cruz.

Both Belmonte and Cruz have expressed their willingness to undergo investigation to clear their names. - report from Ronnie Enderes, ABS-CBN News
