Several houses and pump boats along the coastline of Negros Occidental were destroyed by strong winds and waves last Friday night.
In Cadiz City, 12 houses were destroyed and 111 were damaged in 11 barangays.
Almost 100 pump boats were also damaged by the intense surge from the sea.
Board member Samson Mirhan, who also spearheads the city's disaster operations, said the wind speed during that night was around 45 to 49 kilometers per hour and the tide was around two meters high.
No casualties and injuries were recorded.
The local government has already relocated the families who lost their homes. The Sangguniang Panlungsod is also set to declare a state of calamity on Tuesday.
Meanwhile, 48 houses were also damaged while two were destroyed in Barangay Batea in the municipality of E.B Magalona.
Twenty-six pump boats were also destroyed in three other coastal barangays due to the rough weather.
The local government will be distributing financial assistance and construction materials to the affected fisher folk.
