A 4.4-magnitude earthquake struck off southeast of Cateel town in Davao Oriental on Sunday afternoon.
The Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology (Phivolcs) said the quake happened at 4:15 p.m. It was tectonic in origin and had a depth of 30 kilometers.
Intensity III was felt in Cateel, Davao Oriental, and Intensity II was felt in Bislig City, Surigao del Sur.
No damage and aftershocks were expected, according to Phivolcs.
