President Rodrigo Duterte and his family were unharmed after a magnitude 6.9 earthquake struck parts of Mindanao on Sunday afternoon, Presidential Spokesperson Salvador Panelo said.
Panelo said Duterte and his daughter Kitty were at home in Davao City when the earthquake struck but were "okay."
Duterte's partner Honeylet Avanceña, meanwhile, was on her way home during the tremor but was "unhurt," according to Panelo.
The magnitude 6.9 earthquake struck 6 kilometers northwest of Padada town in Davao del Sur, according to Phivolcs.
Another temblor, measured at magnitude 5.2, hit Matanao town, Davao del Sur at 3:09 p.m., said Phivolcs.
Three powerful quakes, all of which were above 6 on the magnitude scale, struck the region in October, leaving at least 23 dead and scores injured.
