Senatorial candidates Imee Marcos and Bam Aquino on Thursday named one significant contribution of the administrations of presidents Benigno Aquino III and Ferdinand Marcos.
Imee Marcos lauded Aquino III for his contributions to her home province Ilocos Norte in times of calamity.
"Well ang sa amin kasi, sa Ilocos, may naitulong naman siya talaga. 'Pag may bagyo noon, kahit papaano, siya pa 'yung tinatawagan ko at nagpapadala siya ng tulong," said Marcos, who on Thursday joined Bam Aquino and JV Ejercito on the "Ikaw Na Ba?" program on DZMM for aspirants seeking a Senate seat in next year's elections.
Marcos also briefly talked about her time at the House of Representatives with Aquino III as part of the opposition.
"Friend ko naman si Noynoy, kasama ko sa oposisyon, co-terminus kami ng 9 years, at sa palagay ko, marami naman siyang nagawa para sa Pinoy Pride,' sabi nga," Marcos said.
Bam Aquino, for his part, lauded former president Marcos for appointing technocrats to government positions during his term as president.
"Noong time ho ng Marcos regime, to be fair 'yung mga technocrats ho nila, talagang piling-pili at magagaling. And marami ho sa kanila, before the Marcos time, during the Marcos time, kahit after, nanatili po sa gobyerno, maganda at maayos po 'yung mga planning ho ng marami sa mga technocrats noong panahong 'yun," he said.
