'Urduja' continues northwest track, signal no.1 raised in Eastern Samar

MANILA - Tropical cyclone warning signal number one has been raised over Eastern Samar as tropical depression "Urduja" continues its northwest track, state weather bureau PAGASA said Wednesday.

In its 5 p.m. bulletin, PAGASA said Urduja was last spotted 395 kilometers east of Guiuan, Eastern Samar, packing maximum sustained winds of 55 kph and gusts of up to 65 kph.

The tropical depression is currently moving at 7 kilometers per hour.

PAGASA is advising fishermen and those with small boats against venturing over the eastern seaboard of Bicol and Eastern Visayas due to moderate to rough seas.
