Labor group Bukluran ng Manggagawang Pilipino said the government should be blamed for the weakening value of human rights in the Philippines.
The group's national chairman, Leody de Guzman, believes the government seemed to have completely overlooked the human rights of Filipinos, which led to thousands of deaths just two years into President Rodrigo Duterte's administration.
As the world celebrates the International Human Rights Day on Monday, the group urges the government to renew its commitment in upholding the rights of the Filipino people.
