A two-classroom school building will soon rise in Sta. Barbara, Iloilo province after a partnership agreement was signed between the Philippines and the United States armed forces.

The school building under the Construction Civic Action Detail Panay 2017 is intended for pupils of Binangkilan Elementary School.

Twenty personnel from the US Navy Mobile Construction Battalion 4 and soldiers from the 552nd Engineering Construction Battalion of the Philippine Army are working together on the project.

US Navy personnel brought their own tools, equipment and construction materials for the project that costs P2.5 million and is scheduled to be completed in January 2018.
