MANILA – Ronnie Dayan, the former driver-aide and lover of Senator Leila de Lima, on Monday revealed that he received bribe money from former Bureau of Corrections officials Rafael Ragos and Franklin Bucayu.

Dayan revealed this as he was pressed by Senator Manny Pacquiao on whether or not he knew other drug personalities who gave money to De Lima, then a justice secretary, supposedly for her senatorial bid.

Dayan insisted that he only received money totaling P8 million from self-confessed Eastern Visayas drug trader Kerwin Espinosa. He has denied receiving drug money from high-profile New Bilibid Prison inmates on De Lima’s behalf.

Dayan also reiterated what he said in his affidavit that he never received any drug money from Ragos.

The alleged bagman said he got relatively small amounts from Bucayu and Ragos for his role in recommending them to De Lima lead the BuCor.

“Ang dumaan lang sa akin nung kay Ragos, P15,000, P30,00. Suhol daw niya sa akin sa pag ano ko kay Ma’am (De Lima) bilang OIC director. Ganon din si Bucayu,” Dayan said.

“May binibigay sa akin si Ragos para sa pagtulong sa kanila. Iyun lang ang natatanggap ko sa kanila, pati kay General Bucayu.”

Ragos has said in his affidavit that he delivered drug money on several occasions to De Lima's house, an allegation De Lima has vehemently denied.

Bucayu, on the other hand, denied allegation of convicted criminals that he remitted millions in drug money to De Lima.
