LAOAG CITY - A public elementary school teacher tagged by police as a level 2 high value target drug suspect was arrested following a search operation Saturday afternoon.

Jemcefen Luis, 39, was arrested after operatives of the Laoag City Police Station were able to recover eight plastic sachets of alleged shabu, a sachet of alleged marijuana, and five pieces of ammunition for caliber 38 inside his boarding house in Barangay 55-A Laoag City.

During the operation, the suspect was rushed to the nearest hospital due to high blood pressure. He is still under observation.

Before he was rushed to the hospital, some barangay officials who witnessed the operation said the suspect denied the pieces of evidence are his.

According to police, they had been monitoring Luis because of his alleged active involvement with illegal drug trade in and out of Laoag City.
