Ronnie Dayan, the former aide and alleged bagman of Senator Leila de Lima, claimed Monday that he recommended the appointment of former Bureau of Corrections chiefs Rafael Ragos and Franklin Bucayu.
(I recommended only two persons to Secretary: Rafael Ragos and Director Bucayu of Bilibid.)
Dayan made this admission after Senator Emmanuel "Manny" Pacquiao prodded him on rumors that he exerted excessive influence on De Lima when they were still in a relationship.
(I heard you used to be a bully at the DOJ. Is that true? Some lawyers are saying that you intimidated them. You were supposedly so powerful that the DOJ Secretary immediately approves your recommendations.)
Dayan refuted the allegation saying, "Hindi naman po."
