MANILA - Government employees are set to receive an additional bonus in the comingweeks after President Rodrigo Duterte authorized the grant of Service Recognition Incentive (SRI) to government employees for Fiscal Year 2019.
Duterte, in his Administrative Order (AO) 19 signed on Dec. 2, said the grant of the one-time incentive sought “to recognize and further encourage the unwavering commitment and dedication of government employees in performing their work, their continued support and collaborative efforts in the delivery of services to the public, as well as their diligence in the effective and efficient performance of their respective functions.”
Under AO 19, the civilian and military personnel of the executive department shall be granted an SRI of a uniform rate not exceeding P10,000.
The grant, is subject to the following conditions: that the civilian personnel are occupying regular, contractual or casual positions; the personnel are still in the government service as of Nov. 30, 2019; and that the personnel have rendered at least four (4) months of service as of Nov. 30, 2019.
Employees who have rendered less than four (4) months of service as of Nov. 30, shall be entitled to a pro-rated share of the SRI.
Employees of the legislative and judicial departments, other government offices vested with fiscal autonomy, local government units, and local water districts will also be entitled to a one-time grant of an SRI of a uniform rate not exceeding P10,000.
The payment of the SRI to all qualified government employees shall not be earlier than Dec. 20, 2019.
