MANILA – The Department of Foreign Affairs (DFA) on Wednesday said its main consular office in Parañaque City and other consular offices in Metro Manila has suspended operations in the afternoon of Friday, December 6, as its staff will go to training.

The said offices, where passport processing and other consular services are offered, will be closed starting at 12 noon on Friday.

“Regular operations and services will resume on Monday, 9 December 2019,” the DFA said in a statement.

Applicants with confirmed appointments on December 6, 2019 are requested to come before 11:30 a.m.

Those who will be unable to avail of the consular services due to the suspension of afternoon operations will be accommodated on any working day until January 2, 2020 during regular office hours.

Meanwhile, the DFA’s Consular Office in Pampanga will be closed on Saturday, December 7, for official activities.

Regular operations resume on Monday.

Those with confirmed appointments but will be affected by the suspension of operations will be accommodated until January 6, 2020, during regular office hours.
