PILI, Camarines Sur - Communication lines have been restored and major thoroughfares are now passable in Camarines Sur, one of the Bicol provinces affected by heavy rains and winds brought by Typhoon Tisoy.

The Nabua Diversion Road, which had been closed, is now open to light vehicles. Knee-deep floods persist at the town center, but clearing operations have begun to remove toppled posts.

Operations at the Naga Airport are expected to resume Wednesday but flights would depend on the airlines.

Meanwhile, the Bicol Central Station, the bus terminal in Naga City, is back to normal operations for local and Manila-bound passengers.

As of Tuesday evening, there were 328 destroyed and 1,300 damaged houses in Camarines Sur.

The provincial government cancelled classes in public and private schools and evacuated thousands of individuals ahead of the storm.
