MANILA—The House of Representatives suspended work on Tuesday, Dec. 3 due to the possible impact of typhoon Tisoy.
"With prior clearance from Speaker [Alan Peter Cayetano] and upon consultation with Ex Com, we’re suspending work today," said lawyer Jose Luis Montales, secretary-general of the House secretariat.
Operations at the engineering department and security bureau will continue, he added.
"The signing ceremony in Malacañang will proceed in the absence of advice from Malacañang to the contrary," Montales said.
