MANILA - Grab Philippines is offering a P100,000 reward for information that would help locate the suspect in the killing of one of its drivers on Saturday.
In a statement, the ride-hailing firm said the driver received a booking from Marikina going to Pasig around 3:59 a.m.
The driver's last location, however, was in Quezon City, "where he was found by bystanders fighting for his life at the passenger’s seat" after sustaining a head injury.
The driver was brought to Quirino Hospital, where he eventually died.
Investigation on the incident is ongoing.
Grab denounced the killing and promised to help bring justice to the driver's family.
"Grab has reached out to the family of the driver-partner to offer our deepest sympathies and financial assistance amidst this incident, and offers its usual cooperation to the authorities to aid in their investigation and swiftly bring the perpetrator to justice," it said.
The ride-hailing firm said that those who have information can call their hotline, (02)8883-7107.
