Priority Development Assistance Fund (PDAF) scam state witness Ruby Tuason on Tuesday testified against the bail petition of lawyer Gigi Reyes, co-accused of former Senator Juan Ponce Enrile in his plunder case at the Sandiganbayan 3rd Division.
Based on her testimony, Tuason said she was the go-between for businesswoman Janet Lim Napoles and Reyes in the transactions involving the PDAF of Enrile for the years 2007 to 2009.
But in the cross-examination by lawyer Anacleto Diaz, Tuason said she could not recall how much she received for being the middleman between Reyes and Napoles.
“I don’t remember,” Tuason said.
Tuason also could not remember the details of the special allotment release orders (SARO) and for which projects the transactions were.
“No sir,” Tuason said after being asked if she remembered the SARO involved in the transaction.
Aside from the case of Enrile and Reyes, Tuason also testified in the plunder case of former Senator Jinggoy Estrada in 2015.
Estrada was released on bail in September, while Enrile was granted bail in 2015.
Tuason also returned P40 million to the national government which she said was a “ballpark figure” for the commissions she got from the PDAF scam.
