The regional office of the BIR conducted a surveillance of two months and issued a 48-hour notice for the establishment to comply with their requirements, which resort management failed to follow, said Director Ed Pagulayan.

Henann Resort legal counsel Alex Siu explained that there were lapses in their system that led to their violation. The resort was allowed to operate again after paying a fine but will still be subject to in-depth examination by the BIR.
