LAOAG CITY – Two suspected members of a robbery group were arrested for selling illegal drugs inside a grocery store in Laoag City on Wednesday night.

The arrested suspects were identified as Joel Agcambot, 22, and Johnny Soriano, 34, both from Ilocos Norte.

Both suspects were caught in the act of selling a sachet of suspected "shabu" to a police poseur-buyer.

Another sachet of suspected shabu, P500 marked money, and a cellphone used during the transaction with police assets were seized from Soriano.

Authorities also confiscated a Professional Regulation Commission (PRC) identification card with the name Dr. Geraldine Vicente from Agcambot.

Vicente was a victim of robbery last November 21 in Laoag City. Her shoulder bag containing assorted ATM cards and money were stolen from her car which was parked outside her house.

The thief destroyed one of the car windows to steal Vicente’s bag.

Police positively identified Agcambot as the suspect of the robbery through the help of some captured photos from the installed cameras in ATM stations where he withdrew money using Vicente's ATM cards.

The two however, denied the allegations.
