BUTUAN CITY– The Inter-agency Regional Disaster Risk Reduction Management Office (RDRRMC) in Caraga raised the alert level to code red on Thursday as it braces for tropical depression "Marce."
Public Storm Warning Signal Number 1 has been raised in all five provinces in the region.
All classes in preschool are suspended in the entire region while some classes in elementary and high-school have been suspended.
Cabadbaran City ordered the cancellation of classes in all levels including college on Thursday.

The Office of Civil Defense Caraga Operations Center has also been activated and will remain open for 24 hours.
The Department of Social Welfare and Development has pre-positioned 13,500 family food packs in 25 local government units.
The Agusan del Norte provincial government has also issued an executive order prohibiting all types of sea vessels to leave ports either for private or commercial ventures.
