Authorities recovered more than 100 grams of shabu during separate raids in two houses in Panabo City Monday night.

The drugs were discovered from the house of Jessie Jumamoy in Barangay Manay. Dried marijuana leaves and one homemade .22 calibre submachine gun were also recovered.

Jumamoy, who was the subject of the search warrant, evaded arrest.

Meanwhile, authorities also searched the house of Vincent Mahipos in Barangay New Visayas and was able to confiscate about 10 grams of shabu, drug paraphernalia, homemade grenade, live ammunition and one .22 caliber rifle.

The suspect also escaped.

Chief Inspector Francis Sonza, Criminal Investigation and Detection Group Davao del Norte Provincial Director, said the suspects were the subject of surveillance after receiving reports of their illegal activities.

"This was based on the information na ibinigay sa atin ng informant namin at sa mga previous arrest namin. Nagbigay siya ng mga personalities na involved sa drugs so ibinigay itong mga pangalan na ‘to,” Sonza added.

Mahipos and Jumamoy were also the subject of “Oplan Tokhang” of Panabo police.

"Inaalam pa natin ang mga supplier nila at sino ang binibigyan nila,” Sonza said.

Both suspects are considered high value targets in the anti-illegal drugs campaign.
