MANILA - At least seven people were killed overnight in separate anti-drug operations and suspected summary executions across Metro Manila.
In Quezon City, three motorcycle-riding gunmen shot dead a resident in the middle of a card game at his neighbor's wake.
Left beside victim Rowel Cruz was a piece of paper claiming that he was a drug pusher.
The gun attack also left another resident wounded.
At a nearby campsite in Barangay Payatas, another suspected victim of summary execution was found dead. Beside him was a placard stating, "Baka ikanta mo kami ang tumira."
Residents said they heard five gunshots before the unidentified victim was found in the area.
Authorities also found two "salvage" victims in Manila.
The lifeless man at Delpan Bridge in Tondo had his whole face wrapped in packing tape. Beside him was a cardboard saying "Pusher, 'wag tularan."
The other victim, bearing three gunshot wounds on his face, was left along Anonas Street in Sta. Mesa.
Crime scene investigators recovered a sachet of shabu from his wallet.
In Parañaque City, a jeepney barker was killed by "riding-in-tandem" suspects at the corner of Quirino Avenue and M. Roxas Street.
The victim, identified only as alias "Victor", was a former drug user.
A man watching over the parked jeepneys in the area was also wounded in the shooting.
Gunmen on board motorcycles also killed a resident of Barangay Longa, Malabon in a predawn ambush.
A paper sign also tagged him as a drug pusher while investigators found a packet of shabu inside his pocket.
Another drug suspect, meanwhile, was also killed while fighting policemen during a buy-bust operation in North Bay, Navotas.
A .38 caliber gun and several sachets of drugs were recovered from the slain Christian Nofable.
