Police are still investigating the case of a woman found dead in Sibonga Cebu

CEBU- An unidentified woman was found dead along bushes in Sibonga, Cebu on Monday morning.

The body was found by a man named Felix Fellarin, who was on his way to work when he saw a body in the middle of the bushes in Sitio Caidiocan, Barangay Guimbanco-an, Sibonga.

Fellarin tried to move the woman who was still completely dressed in black shirt and denim pants but she was already dead.

Scene of the Crime Operatives of Region 7 saw that the woman had a gunshot wound on her left breast. Her face was also full of blood.

Locals who looked at the body said she was not from the area.

Police said the woman was possibly "salvaged" (summarily killed), shot in the chest and left in the area. 

Residents near the area said they heard two gunshots followed by a scream of a woman on Sunday night. Then they also heard a motorcyle and a van speed off.

Police are still investigating the incident.
