LAGUNA - Students of University of the Philippines-Los Baños on Friday showed their opposition to the secret burial of former President Ferdinand Marcos using the viral Internet trend "mannequin challenge."
The challenge, where people freeze in action while a video is recorded, was made right after students picketed around the UPLB campus while chanting "Marcos, Hitler! Diktador! Tuta!"
The video was uploaded on Facebook with the hashtags #mannequinchallenge #KilosKabataan #StudentsWeek #MarcosNoHero and #NeverAgain.
This is one of the many protests that sprouted after the late dictator was discreetly buried at the Libingan ng Mga Bayani on Friday noon.
UPLB University Student Council chair Merwin Jacob Alinea said the surprise burial is a big insult to victims of martial law. Students also said Marcos is not a hero and should not be buried at the heroes' cemetery.
