CAGAYAN DE ORO - The Cagayan de Oro City prosecutor has found probable cause to file kidnapping and carnapping charges against five police officers who were caught on video abducting still-missing Enrique Fernandez III last month.

Senior Insp. Ereneo Ramirez, SPO2 Jojo Lim, SPO1 Alaindelon Tacubao, PO3 Alejandro Ubanan, and PO2 Sangkula Hussein were identified as the suspects in the kidnapping incident, based on CCTV footage obtained by the National Bureau of Investigation (NBI).

The video showed the five cops forcing Fernandez into a vehicle waiting outside an establishment in Cagayan de Oro.

The suspects also took the motorcycle owned by the victim.

Three civilians were also charged by the NBI, namely Rolando Udasco, Boy Guevarra, and a "John Doe".

They were allegedly assets of the five policemen and were also present in the area during the abduction.

The three civilians remain at large.

The NBI is looking into the possibility that the police officers are involved in illegal activities.
