MANILA - The Armed Forces of athe Philippines will augment its personnel manning the entry and exit points of Camp Aguinaldo.

This, after the camp agreed to allow private motorists to use its roads to lessen the worsening traffic on EDSA and nearby areas.

"Magdadagdag tayo ng ating personnel na siyang magbabantay ng ating gates that we have opened to the public," said Col. Edgardo Arevalo, chief of the AFP's Public Affairs Office.

On Thursday, the Metropolitan Manila Development Authority announced that the private motorists now have the option to enter the camp to avoid being stuck in traffic especially during the Christmas season.

However, the MMDA clarified that only those with AFP-issued car stickers will be allowed inside the camp.

The camp gates 3, 5 and 6 will be opened to private motorists from 6 a.m. to 10 p.m., from Monday to Friday. The gates will be in use until January 15, 2017.

"Magkakaroon din tayo siyempre ng limitasyon sa oras. At the same time, sana i observe natin ang camp rules and regulations," Arevalo said. Henry Atuelan, DZMM
