2 suspected drug peddlers killed in Davao

DAVAO CITY – Two suspected illegal drug peddlers were killed in separate incidents in Davao City Tuesday.

Jomar Paler, a former barangay tanod, shot at the police during the drug buy-bust operation which prompted the police to return fire resulting to the suspect's death, Talomo police chief superintendent Grecil Sagpang said.

Paler has been the subject of surveillance of Talomo police for his illegal drug trade in Bago Gallera, Catalunan Pequenio and Tugbok District.

In Panacan, another suspected drug pusher identified as alias "Pangag" was also killed in an anti-drug operation.

Sachets of shabu and firearms were recovered from the suspects.

Both suspects were considered as high-value targets in the anti-drug operations of the Davao City Police.
