MANILA - President Rodrigo Duterte has approved an additional P2,000 cash assistance to military auxiliary forces per month starting July 2019, according to a document released by Malacañang on Thursday.
Under Executive Order 94 signed Nov. 8, members of the military's Citizen Armed Forces Geographical Unit (CAFGU) Active Auxiliary (CAA) unit will receive financial support sourced from the General Appropriations Act.
Those who have been appointed but are still undergoing training as of July 2019 will receive a prorated portion upon completion of their training.
Duterte also directed the Department of Budget and Management and Department of National Defense to issue guidelines in implementing the order.
The President earlier approved 2 months worth of cash grants to CAFGU troops for their "invaluable service." They will receive P7,000 per month for November and December, under Executive Order No. 69 signed on Dec. 4, 2018.
