MANILA – The controversial blue and pink books that allegedly contained the names of personalities who received money or were involved in the illegal drug trade were also the focus of Thursday's Senate inquiry on the death of Albuera Mayor Rolando Espinosa Sr.

Chief Inspector Jovie Espenido, chief of the Albuera Police said the pink and blue books are under the protective custodian of the investigator.

The pink book was provided by the slain mayor while the blue book was surrendered by Espinosa's accountant.

"Yung pink book sa kanya, yun talaga ang pinirmahan niya sa harap ng prosecutor," he said.

Espenido said among those in the list were politicians, including the name of the Senator Leila de Lima, and law enforcers.

Meanwhile, Regional director, Chief Superintendent Elmer Beltajar declined to identify those listed on the mayor's pink book.

"We have an agreement with the Chief PNP that we'll just divulge the names of the said personalities after the filing of the cases against them," he said.
