The prime suspect in the murder of Grab driver Gerardo Maquidato Jr. is now in police custody, Pasay police said Tuesday night.
Narc Tulod Delemios was apprehended by virtue of an arrest warrant over a separate case, police said.
Delemios is wanted by authorities over the killing of Gino Balbuena, 19, in Baclaran last Oct. 10, 2014.
Two witnesses have identified Delemios as the one who dumped the lifeless body of Maquidato from a vehicle.
Authorities also went to Tarlac City, where Delemios reportedly left the victim's vehicle.
Delemios will be presented to the media Wednesday, police said.
Police investigation showed that Delemios borrowed his live-in partner's phone to book a ride with Maquidato on October 26.
Maquidato, according to the ride-hailing app, was recognized last year for giving a free ride to a sick passenger.
