DAVAO DEL SUR - Digos City police arrested three men allegedly involved in illegal drug trade in Sitio Kibanban, Barangay Sinawilan, Digos City on Sunday morning.

Authorities apprehended target suspect Randy Sidik alias "Boss Islam", Lamberto Alburo, and Dexter Sevilla in a raid in Sidik's house.

Authorities recovered 55 sachets of suspected shabu, drug paraphernalia, a homemade .38 caliber with live ammunition, a homemade Uzi pistol, and a fragmentation grenade.

Police said it took one month to survey the house of Sidik before applying for a search warrant in a court in Digos City.

The suspects denied the accusations, saying the evidence could have been planted by the operatives.

Sidik said the operatives immediately entered his house and told him to be quiet and was later surprised that the illegal drugs and guns were found inside.

The suspects will face charges for violations of the Republic Act 9165 or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002 and RA 10591 or the Comprehensive Firearms and Ammunition Regulation Act.
