MANILA - The local government of Pasig City will donate relief goods and P14 million to quake victims in Mindanao.

Mayor Vico Sotto said the aid will go directly to the cities and municipalities.

The Davao del Sur municipalities of Magsaysay and Bansalan will get P2 million each, while Matanao will be given a million pesos in aid.

Pasig City will also donate P3 million to the municipality of Makilala, and P2 million each to the municipalities of Tulunan, M'lang and Kidapawan, all in the province of Cotabato.

Sotto said he has has called for an emergency session on Tuesday for the formal approval of the donation.

Cotabato was rocked by several strong earthquakes since October 16, including a 6.3-magnitude tremor that struck Tulunan town. At least 7 people were killed and more than 60 others were injured.

Tulunan was also the epicenter of a 6.6-magnitude temblor that struck on Oct. 29, and another 6.5-magnitude quake in Oct. 31.

The 3 earthquakes had a combined death toll of 23 as of November 3.
