MANILA - Whistleblower Benhur Luy has concluded his testimony against the bail petition of lawyer Jessica Lucila “Gigi” Reyes, former Sen. Juan Ponce Enrile's former chief-of-staff, in her plunder trial in connection with the multibillion-peso Priority Development Assistance Fund (PDAF) scam.
During another round of cross-examination by defense lawyer Anacleto Diaz, Luy again admitted that he never personally delivered money to Reyes.
"As far as ako po is concerned, yes," Luy said.
Another whistleblower, Marina Sula, is scheduled to appear on Nov. 10.
In his testimony last month, Luy admitted that he did not see Reyes sign any memoranda of agreement related to Enrile's PDAF disbursements.
Detained at Camp Bagong Diwa, Reyes is accused of plunder with Enrile and businesswoman Janet Lim Napoles, the alleged scam mastermind, for allegedly funneling the former senator's pork barrel funds into fake NGOs.
Enrile, currently out on bail on the Supreme Court's grant for humanitarian reasons, is accused of pocketing P172.8 million in pork barrel kickbacks.
