MANILA—Seven Filipino seafarers who were kidnapped off the coast of Nigeria last month have been released, the Department of Foreign Affairs (DFA) said Tuesday.
In a statement, the DFA said the seafarers are now in Zurich and will be flown to Manila.
All 12 crew members of Swiss-owned MV Glarus were released Sunday.
They were taken hostage by armed men on September 22, as their ship was traveling between the cities of Lagos and Port Harcourt.
