MANILA - The Social Security System said Monday the pension fund is already investigating allegations of misconduct against two of its officials who withheld stock investment information from the pension fund.

SSS chairman Amado Valdez said they have already issued a show cause order to the officials named in the complaint filed by SSS Commissioner Jose La Viña.

"The allegations that have been brought to our attention. We have promptly initiated administrative proceedings," Valdez told ANC's Top Story.

Valdez added that they want to know if there were people outside the SSS who helped the officials.

He also assured that there was no misuse of SSS funds amid the alleged misconduct of the fund's officials.
