A Cebu Pacific flight bound for General Santos City was diverted to the Mactan Cebu International Airport in Lapu-Lapu City Saturday morning due to concerns about the plane's landing gear.
Cebu Pacific flight 5J 993 from Manila was diverted to the Mactan airport around 8:40 a.m.
Cebu Pacific Station Manager Johnny Yap said the aircraft made a short technical stop to check the plane's landing gear after the pilot noticed "some concerns." Cebu Pacific did not elaborate.
The passengers stayed inside the plane during the check. The concern was addressed after 10 minutes.
The aircraft took off for General Santos City around 9:20 a.m.
