MANILA - The brewing storm east of Surigao del Sur will bring scattered rains over Bicol region, Palawan, Visayas and Mindanao, the state weather bureau said early Sunday.

The low-pressure area (LPA), unlikely to become a storm as it crosses Philippine landmass, was last seen 295 kilometers east of Hinatuan, Surigao del Sur as of 3 a.m., PAGASA said.

The northeast monsoon or Amihan will, meanwhile, bring isolated light rains over Ilocos region, Cordillera Administrative Region, and Cagayan Valley.

Metro Manila and the rest of Luzon may experience isolated rains due to localized thunderstorms, according to PAGASA.
