(UPDATED) A 5.4-magnitude earthquake struck off Batangas Sunday night, the Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology (Phivolcs) said.
The earthquake was downgraded from its initial measurement of 5.5 magnitude.
In an earthquake bulletin, Phivolcs said the quake of tectonic origin struck at 10:21 p.m. six kilometers southwest of Lian town.
Intensity 1 was reported in Tagaytay City and Calumpit, Bulacan
No damage has been reported while aftershocks are expected.
