WATCH: Super typhoon Lawin's violent power

An ABS-CBN News camera inside a van parked outside a hotel in Tuguegarao City captured the stunning power of super typhoon Lawin early Thursday morning.

The video clip from ABS-CBN News' Jeff Canoy shows intense winds whipping everything amid the darkness.

In another video clip, Canoy said weather calmed down in Tuguegarao for a bit before the strong winds returned.

Cyclone Warning Signals 

The super typhoon made landfall over Peñablanca, Cagayan Wednesday night and was traversing Apayao province around 3 a.m. Thursday.

The tropical cyclone is packing maximum sustained winds of up to 225 kilometers per hour near the center and gusts of up to 315 kph, state weather bureau PAGASA said.

Lawin's estimated rainfall amount is from heavy to intense within its 400 km inner diameter. 

It is expected to exit Luzon via Ilocos Norte between 8 a.m. to 10 a.m. Thursday morning.

Tropical Cyclone Warning Signal Number 5 is raised over the following areas: Cagayan, Northern Isabela, Apayao, Northern Kalinga Northern Abra and Ilocos Norte

Meanwhile, Signal Number 4 is raised over the rest of Isabela, rest of Abra, Ilocos Sur, Mt. Province, rest of Kalinga, Ifugao, and Calayan Group of Islands.

Tropical Cyclone Warning Signal Number 3: La Union, Benguet, Nueva Vizcaya, Quirino, and Northern Aurora

Tropical Cyclone Warning Signal Number 2: Batanes Group of Islands, Pangasinan, rest of of Aurora, Tarlac, Nueva Ecija, and Northern Zambales

Tropical Cyclone Warning Signal Number 1: Rest of Zambales, Bulacan, Bataan, Pampanga, Rizal, Quezon Province including Polillo Island, Cavite, Laguna, Batangas, Camarines Norte, Camarines Sur, Catanduanes, and Metro Manila.
