MANILA - Tropical Storm Perla might stay a little longer inside the Philippine area of responsibility (PAR) since it was stationary when last spotted, the state weather agency said Friday.
The weather disturbance was seen 790 kilometers east of Basco town, Batanes at 3 p.m., while packing maximum sustained winds of 75 kilometers per hour (kph) and 90 kph gusts.
Most parts of the country will experience fair weather as long Perla is stationary, PAGASA said.
Localized thunderstorms will be experienced at night in southern Luzon, Metro Manila, and parts of the Visayas and Mindanao.
Perla is expected to leave PAR on Tuesday, Oct. 22.
