MANILA- It seems that no accident can stop President Rodrigo Duterte.
A day after figuring in a minor motorcycle accident, Duterte tested his former aide and now Senator Christopher “Bong” Go’s scooter.
Go however clarified that the President no longer went for a ride.
The President tested the scooter around 6 p.m. Thursday at Bahay ng Pagbabago, his official residence in Malacañang, Go said.
Duterte on Wednesday night fell off a 650 cc dirt bike after he made a sharp turn, landing on his left elbow, Go said.
Duterte’s spokesman Salvador Panelo assured the public on Thursday that the President is fine since he only sustained “light bruises and slight scratches.”
“We assure our people that the President is fine, and his recovery entails no major medical procedure,” Panelo said.
Duterte on Thursday night also graced a business forum in Manila.
